|Grant Park in Atlanta|
Grant Park is home to one of Atlanta’s oldest parks and a neighborhood of 100+ year-old, large, modified, two-story mansions in the forms of craftsman bungalows, Victorian and Queen Anne architecture originally built around 1882. The 131-acre, wooded park hosts various events including farmer’s markets, concerts, festivals, children’s rides, indoor play and educational sleepovers. Zoo Atlanta makes its home at Grant Park, serving as home to more than 1500 animals from over 200 species in natural habitats that occupy nearly 40 acres of park land. Oakland Cemetery in Grant Park is the final resting place of many prominent Metro Atlantans, including Margaret Mitchell and Bobby Jones.
